A-axes
Four conjectured dials of trial-judge disposition used to build posture panels: A1, how much a judge ends cases before trial; A2, where in the case's life it ends them; A3, how much fact development it permits; and A4, how it manages contested process.
First used in What Remains for the Judge When the Machine Has Already Verified the Law?
The Russian-language essay that introduced them names the axes termination intensity, kill-point timing, fact-development cost and managerial activism, and argues that they are what genuinely remains for the judge once machines verify the law.
Later versions of the Ariadne paper call them termination mass, termination location, process volume and process steering. The fourth shifts meaning between versions: managerial activism is steering effort, while process steering is steering direction. Readers comparing texts should note the difference.
The axes are a conjecture (C-Basis) with a stated refutation: if factor analysis of gate scores shows strong cross-loading, the basis collapses. Ideology, the standard of review and case knowledge are deliberately kept off the axes, so the measurement does not confound them.
